It had been announced a few months back that there will soon be a live action adaptation of the classic animated movie ‘How To Train Your Dragon’. While there is a trend of adapting every successful animated movie to a live-action version, the films are not always received with appreciation from audiences. However, some of them make the fans go crazy for them.
The cast of the movie is revealed now and it looks quite interesting. Mason Thames will be playing the lead role. He is cast as ‘Hiccup’ and for ‘Astrid’, the actress chosen is Nico Parker. Mason started acting as a child and has worked in films like ‘The Black Phone’ and his performances are quite laudable. He will also be seen in ‘Boys Of Summer’ opposite Mel Gibson. Nico Parker, on the other hand, has been in the highly successful ‘The Last Of Us’. She made her debut with Tim Burton’s live-action ‘Dumbo’ and will be next seen in ‘Suncoast’, directed by Laura Chinn.
The film is slated for its release on the 14th of March in 2025 and it is going to be directed by Dean DeBlois. There have been three highly successful films in the series that grossed over 1.6 Billion US Dollars and the targets of the kite action version are quite high too. The films were adapted from the novel of the same name by Cressida Cowell. Daniel DeBlois had been the director in all three of the movies in How To Train Your Dragon trilogy. It told the story of the unlikely friendship of an adolescent Viking boy and a dragon who fears too much. There is a huge fan base of the series and they are waiting for the movie eagerly.
