Pfeiffer In Showalter’s Next: Oh. What. Fun!

The director behind titles like ‘The Big Sick’ and the highly anticipated upcoming romantic drama ‘The Idea of You’, Michael Showalter, is all set to move on to his next project: Amazon MGM’s holiday comedy ‘Oh. What. Fun.’!

Actors Chloë Grace Moretz and Dominic Sessa will be joining industry veteran Michelle Pfeiffer in spreading a little Christmas cheer. Described as a love letter to mothers, the plot revolves around a woman, Claire, who organizes a special Christmas outing. The catch: she ends up being forgotten by her family amidst the scuffle. By the time they realize their mistake, she’s gone missing and their Christmas is in jeopardy.

Luckily, nothing will stop Claire from giving her family the holiday they deserve. What seems to be a fresh, rewired take on ‘Home Alone’, ‘Oh What Fun’ is based on a short story, published by Amazon Original Stories and written by Chandler Baker.

A late-May production start in Atlanta is anticipated for the film. As for the cast members’ other recent projects, Moretz starred in Amazon’s sci-fi thriller series ‘The Peripheral’ and the sci-fi thriller ‘Mother/Android’. Sessa on the other hand received critical acclaim for his debut performance in last year’s ‘The Holdovers’.

While Pfeiffer’s slate of movies has spanned genres like drama, thriller, romance and even love, this will be her first official Christmas movie. Excited!? We know we are. Stay tuned as we bring out more updates about this story and more!
