Photo Prem goes where very few people dare to venture. It talks about death but moreover, the legacy left after it. This may sound too heavy for you but it takes a humorous take on the subject and chooses a simple route.
When Maee attends a funeral she realises that a good photo is necessary so that people can remember you in good light. Being very photophobic she goes on a quest to capture the perfect photo so that the coming generations will remember her in a good way.
It also sheds light on the kind of hollow relationships that are present nowadays where the houses are becoming bigger but so are the walls increasing between us. Maee understands that if she doesn’t have a good photo nobody will seem to remember what she looked like or even what she was.
Photo Prem is directed by Aditya Rathi. Photo Prem stars Neena Kulkarni, Amita Khopkar, Vikas Hande, Chaitrali Rode, Sameer Dharamadhikari, Samay Sanjeev Tambe, Ashwini Mukadam, Vitthal Gaonkar, Nilkanth Sawant.
The film is produced by Mehul Shah, Aditya Rathi and Gayatri Patil. Neena Kulkarni is a veteran of the industry and has played a lot of interesting characters over the years both on the big as well as the small screen. Her character is on the quest to get a picture that can define her personality and life but will she be able to get something that will define her. Will she be able to get over her fear of the camera?
Photo Prem will have a direct to digital release on Amazon Prime Video on 7th May
