The fan favourite long running show ‘Greys Anatomy’ adds “Pitch perfect” star Skylar Astin to a recurring role. According to ‘Variety’ the actor is set to play Todd Eames in multiple episodes of season 18. The character he plays is described as a charming and handsome environmental sciences expert who turns up at Grey Sloan Memorial to visit his pregnant sister, who is a patient being treated by Camilla Luddington’s Jo.
Austin began his acting professionally as a musical theatre actor and played as Greg in “Spring Awakening.” It was the American musical comedy “Pitch Perfect” (2012) that made him popular and he also played in the sequel of the movie. Later he was on both the much-loved “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.”
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ is one of the popular shows on ABC. The show was first aired on ABC back in 2005 and it was renewed in January for a season 19. This show revolves around the lives of surgical interns, residents, and attendings as they develop into seasoned doctors while balancing personal and professional relationships. The show has maintained a healthy number of viewers all around the world through years.
Grey’s Anatomy also made headlines when Richard Floods Hayes confirmed the exit in the 9th episode of season 18. This is not the first time an abrupt departure is happening in the show. The same fate was suffered by Martin Henderson’s Nathan.
