Pixar has now released the official trailer for ‘Elemental’. The movie will be hitting theaters on the 16th of June this year. The teaser for the film was released four months ago and fans had been eagerly waiting for the trailer for a long time.
‘Elemental’ is written by Brenda Hsueh and is directed by Peter Sohn. The film stars Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie as the lead voice actors. Elemental tells the story of a mystical ‘Element City’ where all the residents are either Fire, water, air or earth. A little girl who actually belongs to the ‘Fire’ elements meets a guy from the ‘water’ elements. The two develop an unlikely friendship. Pixar has described the story to be like this : “In a city where fire, water, land and air residents live together, a fiery young woman and a go-with-the-flow guy are about to discover something elemental: how much they actually have in common.”
The trailer looks very good with colorful visuals and with impressive music. It shows a glimpse of what the Elemental world looks like and how Ember and Wade cannot touch each other as they are of opposite natures yet they grow up to be so fond of each other. The director Sohn has previously directed the famous animated movie ‘The Good Dinosaur’. The film takes inspiration from Sohn’s childhood in New York city and its diversity. Thomas Newman has composed the music for the film, he is known for giving the music in many Pixar projects.
Elemental is the joint production of Pixar and Disney Studios. We will get to see the magical touch of Disney along with the believable surrealism of Pixar in the movie. Fans are excited for the release of the movie.
