The Polish series High Water’ is all set to premiere on Netflix on October 5th. The trailer was released a few days back and it has a cast of actors like Agnieszka Żulewska, Jerzy Trela, Adam Nawojczyk, Tomasz Schchardt and others.

High Water‘ is a suspenseful political drama and it deals with a very sensitive issue. The story revolves around some scientists and local government officials in Wroclaw, facing life and death decisions at a crucial time for the citizens where a massive flood wave threatens the city. The show is based in the timeline of 1997. The show is directed by Jan Holoubek and Bartlomiej Ignaciuk.

The show is inspired by real life events of a flood that hit Poland, Germany and parts of the Czech Republic a few years back in 1997.

The producer of the show said that it is impossible to tell the stories of each and every person who suffered because of the flood so they wanted to focus on the mood and emotions that Will have a universal appeal with a tale of making difficult decisions at the time of tensions and such conflicts. Though the emotional appeal is universal, there is not very much focus given to the comfort of the audiences. Netflix is once again not paying heed to viewers’ demands, and the show will only be available in Polish for now. Let alone Indian languages, it will not even be available in English, at least for now.
