The Viral Fever or TVF has announced an upcoming Tamil language web series with its first look poster today. The series is named ‘Thalaivettiyan Paalayam’ and is expected to feature actors Abishek Kumar, Devadarshini, Chetan, Anand Sami, and Paul Raj in important roles respectively. It is expected to be released on the 20th of September.
The first look poster looks captivating which shows a slice of an unknown village and is expected to be the titular character of the title, something that is a great approach. ‘Thalaivettaiyan Palayam’ will be a fictional village somewhere around Tamil Nadu state. The poster shows four animate characters which may represent four types of lifestyles and responsibilities. The central character played by actor Abishek Kumar is hoped to be new to the village and getting perplexed about the way of life there. The series is expected to talk with his eye of perspective.
The other two characters represent the reality of the village, one being an experienced senior citizen who may have some voice around the village, and the other will have to be a strong and independent working woman adapted to the norms of the area. The auto-rickshaw driver is shown as the representative of the ordinary people.
However, the story idea guessed from the poster gives the fact that this will be the official remake of the web series named ‘Panchayat’ which had actors Jithendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, and Neena Gupta which was also presented by TVF. The template for both of the series seems to resemble the world-building.
The comparison of Jithendra versus Abishek can be critically seen based on their performance and how the latter can exhibit along or par with the former. Also, the portrayal of Local Tamil culture which may be novel to other regional audiences should have to be precise.
The web series will be directed by Arunabh Kumar, with Deepak Mishra being its creative director, and produced by Amazon Prime Video India as well along with claiming its OTT Rights.
