Pranitha Subhash’s Back To Back Bollywood Debut Releases & The Tragedy Of It!

Gorgeous actress Pranitha Subhash has several hit Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films to her credit. She has been paired with the top heroes of the three South film industries she’s worked in. A Bollywood debut is therefore a natural progression for the talented and multi-faceted actress. And she’s been lucky enough to land not one but two Hindi films in her kitty; one of those with none other than the heartbeat of the masses, Ajay Devgn.

However, Pranitha Subhash’s Bollywood debut is tinged with tragedy. You’ll wonder how. Well, the fact is that ideally, Pranitha should be over the moon by virtue of landing two back to back Bollywood films with the best production houses in the industry. Her first is acclaimed director Priyadarshan’s comeback film, Hungama 2, the spiritual sequel to his blockbuster hit, Hungama. Her second Hindi film is the very buzzy Bhuj: The Pride Of India, produced by Ajay Devgn Films, T-Series and LLP Productions.

But alas, Pranitha Subhash’s Bollywood debut has one major element lacking. Both her films have skipped their theatrical releases, and gone straight to digital. Both will release directly on Disney Plus Hotstar instead of the theatres, smashing Pranitha’s hopes for a grand Bollywood debut with a big screen spectacle. Bhuj: The Pride Of India, in particular, is a film made to be enjoyed on the big screen. But the Covid-19 pandemic has dashed the aspirations of all concerned – the makers of the film, the eager audiences, the lead cast of Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharad Kelkar, and of course, Pranitha Subhash.

Well, all we can say is that we wish Pranitha Subhash all the best for her Bollywood debut, and for both her films, Hungama 2 and Bhuj: The Pride Of India. We also hope she lands many more Bollywood films, all of which release in the theatres in the future.
