Pratik Gandhi Wraps Filming for Disney+ Hotstar Series ‘Six Suspects’

Production for ‘Scam 1992’ actor Pratik Gandhi starrer web series ‘Six Suspects’ is under full swing as the actor has reportedly wrapped the ongoing filming schedule for the upcoming series. Besides Pratik Gandhi, his co-star Vineet Singh has also concluded his portion of the shoot. ‘Six Suspects’ is being helmed by ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ director Tigmanshu Dhulia. The web series is slated to stream on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform.

The web series ‘Six Suspects’ is based on acclaimed novelist Vikas Swarup’s second novel of the same name that was published in the year 2016. For the unversed, Vikas Swarup’s debut novel was ‘Q&A’ which has also been adapted for the big screen by Danny Boyle for the 2008 film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, which had eventually swept eight Oscar awards.

The Disney+ Hotstar web series ‘Six Suspects’ is being produced by Indian film actor Ajay Devgn along with producer Priti Sinha’s Reel Life Entertainment. Alongside Pratik Gandhi, ‘Six Suspects’ also features ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ actress Richa Chadha in an equally important role. Pratik Gandhi and Richa Chadha are apparently playing the roles of investigating officers in the series. The actor duo had reportedly commenced filming for the web series back in March 2021.

The original novel ‘Six Suspects’ revolved around the police investigation behind the murder of a powerful politician’s son during a party. During the investigation, six guns are found under the possession of six guests in this riveting whodunnit story. The suspects include a corrupt bureaucrat, an American tourist, an ancient tribe member, a Bollywood celebrity, a phone thief, and an ambitious politician.

Considering the fact that a prominent name like Ajay Devgn is backing the project directed by the supremely talented Tigmanshu Dhulia with an ensemble cast including Pratik Gandhi and Richa Chadha, and combined with an extremely well-written source material, audiences are bound to have their hopes high for the Disney+ Hotstar web series ‘Six Suspects’. It remains to be seen whether ‘Six Suspects’ will garner similar appreciation the way ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ did in 2008.
