Yesterday we took a look at the director behind Amazon Prime Video’s Latest Malayalam flick ‘Halal Love Story’. Today let us take a look at the stellar cast behind the Zakariya Mohammad written and directed feature:
Indrajith Sukumaran
This veteran actor has been working in the South-Indian film industries for almost 2 decades. He is the son of acting legends Sukumaran and Mallika, and both he and his brother Prithviraj honed their crafts at their feet. He debuted in the 2002 film Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan in an antagonist role and has gone to act in over 80 films in a variety of portrayals. He comes from a time in Malayalam cinema where changes were happening and he was a part of the change that has brought forth brilliant films in Mollywood during the previous decade.
Joju George
Joju George or Joseph George has been in Mollywood for over 20 years and used to do junior artist roles, until 2010, when he started to get more supporting roles and slowly started gaining recognition. Since his success in his first lead role in ‘Joseph’ in 2018, he has been given several character actor roles by multiple script writers and directors, due to his immense talent.
Parvathy Thiruvothu
This actor needs no introduction. This year being her 15th year working in the South-Indian film industry, she has created waves in the past few years, in both the roles she takes onscreen and offscreen. This brilliant actor debuted in 2006 film ‘Out of Syllabus’, but she got major recognition in the 2006 critical and commercial hit ‘Notebook’.
Soubin Shahir
Soubin started out his film career as an assistant director. He played a variety of uncredited and small roles until he portrayed a PT teacher in the Mollywood hit ‘Premam’. Since then he has been provided a variety of comedic roles and in his 2019 film ‘Sudani from Nigeria’, he portrayed the lead character for the first time in his acting career.
Sharaf U Dheen
This actor made his debut in the 2013 film ‘Neram’, but received prominence two years later in the 2015 cult-hit ‘Premam’. He has portrayed a variety of roles with his first lead role coming in the film ‘Neeyum Njanum’.
Grace Antony
This young actor had her debut in 2016 in the film ‘Happy Wedding’. But she gained prominence through the 2019 hit release ‘Kumbalangi Nights’. This film will be her 11th feature movie and her 1st direct-to-OTT release.
‘Halal Love Story’ will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on October 15th 2020.
