Prime Video, has expanded its offerings by introducing Chaupal, a dedicated Punjabi video streaming service, into its Prime Video channels. You must be aware that Prime Video provides an extra set of channels for add-on subscriptions. Those who have bought the subscription need to purchase the subscription to those channels if they are interested in that content.
This development provides subscribers with access to a carefully curated selection of Punjabi language content, including a rich library of Punjabi movies and web series.
Chaupal offers a diverse range of content spanning various genres, ensuring there’s something for every Punjabi entertainment enthusiast. Some of the standout titles include “Kaali Jotta,” “Aaja Mexico Chaliye,” “Outlaw,” and “Chal Jindiye” among others.
For Prime members, Chaupal offers an introductory annual subscription rate of Rs 599.
Incorporating Chaupal into the Prime Video channels lineup not only enriches the platform’s content library but also underscores the growing demand for regional content in India.
We usually don’t get much representation from the Punjabi industry on OTT but this move may benefit Chaupal. But most add-on channels don’t get much attention, which is true as well.
