OTTs are known for bringing recognition to films, artists, and content when they fail to do so in theaters. We often see the audience screaming for lack of good content but the list of good films which ultimately flopped is endless.
One gem which flopped at the box office is Gali Guleiyan starring Manoj Bajpayee. It was released back in 2018 and is now finally coming to OTT.
When it comes to OTT titles, Gali Guleiyan was undoubtedly one of the buzziest titles this week. The man behind is none other than Manoj Bajpayee himself who created a significant buzz around the movie solely through his own Twitter handle.
Naturally, some film journalists of significance joined him and it was well aware that Gali Guleiyan is coming to Prime Video “soon”. However, there wasn’t any release date. Even Binged informed its readers about the same.
But one entity was completely unbothered by any kind of promotion. It was the platform Prime Video itself.
They never posted a single tweet and didn’t even post a release date for igniting the buzz. Currently, the movie is streaming on the platform and by the time of writing this article, there isn’t even a streaming update from them.
Thus, this behavior is strange and harmful for them more than anyone else. Because it does hamper viewership and there can’t be a second opinion about the same.
