After almost a year of wait, finally Amazon Prime Video has presented to the viewers the release date of one of its most anticipated webs series. The Last Hour, on Amazon Prime Video finally has a release date and it will be released on the 14th of May. The announcement was made today as Prime Video released a small teaser video of the series disclosing the release date.
The series stars Raima Sen and Sanjay Kapoor in the lead roles. The show which was meant to be a supernatural crime thriller seems to be sticking true to its description as the teaser itself gave off a very eerie vibe and definitely has viewers engaged with it.
The show is shot in an Himalayan hill station and the teaser talks about a tribe or a community called “Jhakris”, who apparently possess the supernatural ability to talk to spirits and souls from the other world. This definitely looks like a power that will be misused, and the teaser too gives us a glimpse of that.
With a complete, creepy, eerie and supernatural vibe attached to it, the show definitely looks like something that will garner the attention of the fans. The series is directed by Amit Kumar. The series will also mark the Indian debut of Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia as a producer. The director is known for his work in Mind Hunter, Senna, and Amy. The web series is produced by Fission Features.
Besides Raima Sen and Sanjay Kapoor, the series also stars young actors Shahana Goswami, Shaylee Krishen along with Karma Takapa, Robin Tamang, Lanuakum Ao, Tenzein Choden, Mandakini Goswami and Anupama Minz.
The shoot of the series was apparently already over in 2019 and the makers and stars were waiting for the 2020 release, but it is said that the pandemic caused a lot of delay and hence the release was cancelled last year.
The series talks about the last hour of someone’s life and it will be interesting to see how the mind bending it will be to go back in time and witness what actually goes on in that very last hour.
