Prime Video Gets A Fun Mix Of Celebs For One Mic Stand Season 2!

One Mic Stand, Amazon Prime Video‘s acclaimed stand up comedy show with a difference, is back with its Season 2. This season will see new mentors who will groom five celebrities, one celebrity for each mentor, to perform stand up comedy on stage. Yesterday, Amazon Prime Video unveiled the list of 5 mentors who will be mentoring the celebrities this season. They are – Abish Mathew, Neeti Palta, Atul Khatri, Samay Raina and Sumukhi Suresh.

This morning, Amazon Prime Video revealed the celebs who will try their hand at stand up comedy this season, and it sure is an electric mix. The celeb participants this season are filmmaker Karan Johar, author Chetan Bhagat, TV journalist Faye D’Souza, rapper-musician Raftar and actress Sunny Leone. We must say it is a fine bunch of participants this season. It will be fun to watch the usually serious celebs perform stand up comedy on stage.

Sapan Verma will host the show for Amazon Prime Video. The five mentors will guide and direct the five celebrities, and teach them how to present a stand-up comedy act. The debut of the show, One Mic Stand Season 1, has been a resounding success for Amazon Prime Video.

The first season had politician Shashi Tharoor, actresses Richa Chadha and Tapsee Pannu, Bollywood music composer Vishal Dadlani and popular YouTuber Bhuvan Bam, along with comedy stalwarts Sapan Varma, Ashish Shakya, Kunal Kamra, Rohan Joshi and Angad Singh Ranyal as their mentors. The celebs are mentored by their respective mentors for a week, after which they perform before a live audience.
