Prime Video Goofs Up Badly With Hyped New Series ‘Dead Ringers’

Prime Video has just premiered its new series ‘Dead Ringers’ worldwide. And just like always, the streaming giant with a habit of goofing up – has goofed up again, and badly!

Prime Video has been hyping up ‘Dead Ringers’ since months in advance. Audiences too have been hotly awaiting the psychological thriller, given its basic premise and cast. For those who don’t know, ‘Dead Ringers’ is a reboot of David Cronenberg’s 1988 horror thriller of the same name.

The reboot series stars Rachel Weisz in a never-seen-before avatar. The actress plays a dual role of twins Elliot and Beverly Mantle, who think nothing of abusing medical ethics to bring women’s health care to the forefront. In order to find solutions, the duo perform ethically questionable procedures on infertile women.

With all the hype and anticipation surrounding Dead Ringers, Prime Video subscribers have been looking forward to binge-watching all six episodes of the limited series at one go. The series premiered on Prime Video worldwide this morning, and soon dashed all binge-watching hopes of viewers.

Coz, just like always, Prime Video has goofed up again!

Viewers logged into their Prime Video apps to watch Dead Ringers, only to realise that several episodes of the series are not available to stream at all. And viewers are facing this problem in all of the regions of the world where ‘Dead Ringers’ is streaming on Prime Video.

In India, we have Episode 5 missing out of the six episodes. The series skips straight to Episode 6 after Episode 4. Weird.

For another Prime Video India user, only episodes 1 & 6 are streaming –

In Germany, only Episode 6 of Dead Ringers is streaming for viewers, as this gentleman pointed out on Twitter –

In the US, only episodes 1 and 6 of Dead Ringers is available to stream for viewers. Episodes 2 – 5 are missing! Have a look at a few of the complaints piling up on Twitter –

In the UK too, only episodes 1 & 6 are streaming for viewers –

The problem is prevalent in several Asian countries too. Surprisingly, Amazon Prime Video has made no effort to address viewers’ concerns or resolve the streaming issues. They haven’t even bothered to reply to their subscribers tweeting on social media.

Some users have posted that Prime Video has confirmed that they are facing technical issues in the streaming of Dead Ringers, and that the issue will be resolved in 24-72 hours. Huh, what the…..!!

Let’s hope Prime Video speeds up resolving this goof-up, and we can watch ‘Dead Ringers’ in peace.
