Shahid Kapoor is making his OTT debut with director duo Raj and D.K’s ‘Farzi‘. Vijay Sethupathi and Shahid will be seen in the crime thriller where the former plays a cop and the latter an artist who fakes currency.
Farzi is an Amazon Prime Video original and the platform is showing exceptional efforts in promoting the series. It will be premiering on the 10th of February and the actors are seen in various interviews for the promotions.
Ever since the announcement of the series, Prime Video India has left no stones unturned to keep it trending and in hype. There are posts and videos and promos after promos so that the buzz never dies. And they are successful enough to market it the right way. We can very easily assume the range of the audience that Farzi will reach. Last time, Amazon Prime Video gave so much effort and time into the promotion of a show, it was ‘Mirzapur 2’, and it is known to all how well-received it was.
This is an exception because Prime Video is terrible in terms of promotions and they usually give one week time before the release of any show. In the worst cases they give a two days interval for the promotions.
Directors Raj and D.K have already proved their talent with ‘The Family Man’ and they already have a dedicated fan base now who will go and watch the series without any promotions. Vijay Sethupathi is becoming more and more popular with his films even in the northern parts of India. With films like ‘Vikram’, ’96’, ‘Super Deluxe’, Vijay Sethupathi is definitely one of the most popular actors in India. There are all possibilities for Farzi being a big hit in both North India and South India.
