When everyone was busy watching the India – Australia nail-biter last evening, Prime Video India sprung a mini surprise on its followers. It was the announcement of a new slate of titles for Indian viewers. The new titles are a treat for Prime subscribers, to compliment Amazon Prime’s big festive sale that is ongoing currently.
Prime Video has been following this tradition for the past couple of years, when it announces a slew of titles to go with Prime Day on its shopping app. This year, it has labeled the new titles as a festive offering, as it comes just ahead of the upcoming festive season in India.
Prime Video India announced a total of six titles last evening, out of which one was a complete surprise -the new season of Aspirants. The TVF (aka The Viral Fever) show Aspirants had premiered on the YouTube channel of The Viral Fever a couple of years ago. The show was a resounding hit for TVF. This time around, Prime Video India has stepped in to pick up Aspirants Season 2 for premiere on its platform. Needless to say Aspirants Season 2 on Prime Video will be a big hit for the platform.

1. Aspirants Season 2 – Series Coming-of-age show by The Viral Fever, starring Naveen Kasturia, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Abhilash Thapliyal, Sunny Hinduja, Namita Dubey. Coming soon.
2. The Burial – Film
The Burial is a legal drama, based on a true story. It is directed by Maggie Betts, and stars Tommy Lee Jones and Jamie Foxx. Premieres on Prime Video on 13th October.
3. Upload Season 3 – Series
The new season of the popular sci-fi show in which a man is able to choose his own afterlife after his untimely death. Premieres on Prime Video on 20th October.
4. The Other Zoey – Film
Romantic comedy film about a young girl determined to change the conventional rules of dating. Starring Josephine Langford, Drew Starkey, Archie Renaux, premieres on Prime Video on 20th October.
5. Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts – Film
The new film in the ‘Transformers’ film franchise premieres on Prime Video India on 26th October.
6. Takeshi’s Castle – Series
The reboot of the popular Japanese game show of the nineties. Takeshi’s Castle Indian version will have Bhuvan Bam taking over the commentary from Javed Jaffrey. Coming soon on Prime Video India.
