Analysis: Amazon Prime Video has always showed negligence in the case of original movies. And once again, there is no original movie coming from the platform in July 2024 as well. But the highly anticipated third season of ‘Mirzapur’ was a huge hit. It gathered a massive number of views and was appreciated by fans and critics equally. The show seems to have saved the performance of the platform alone. However, in the list of the licensed movies, there were some good titles too. The Malayalam movie ‘Paradise’ was appreciated by critics and gathered a decent amount of views. Kartik Aryan’s ‘Chandu Champion’, ‘Garudan’ and the Kannada movie ‘Moorane Krishnappa’ were some movies that impressed the audiences. There were two partnered shows with Amazon MiniTV and they gathered decent views as well. But the platform needs to focus a little more on the format of original films. For the performance of Prime Video India in July 2024, we rate it with a 6.5 out of 10.
