Prime Video Makes Stunning Splash With Massive Lineup & TieUps

Prime Video India today announced a massive slate of 41 upcoming titles ranging across languages at Prime Video Presents India event. Hosted by Karan Johar and held in Mumbai, Amazon Prime Video through the event has brought some real surprises for the audience.

With this latest announcement Amazon Prime Video is doubling down on content investments in India and is all set to launch over 40 new titles across series and movies in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu over the next 2 years.

Moreover, Amazon Prime Video has also launched Transactional Video-On-Demand (TVOD) Movie Rental Service in India. The TVOD Service will enable early rental access to latest Indian and International movies; and in-addition offer a rich catalogue of popular movies from around the world on a transactional (per-movie) basis. This service will be available to all Prime members as well as anyone who is not yet a Prime member.

The list of titles coming up on Amazon Prime Video include 22 scripted series, 4 unscripted series, nine returning series and four films, some specials and co-productions along with multi-year licensing agreements with production houses like Dharma Productions and Yash Raj Films.

Consisting of cutting-edge thrillers, high octane action, engaging dramas, light-hearted comedy and heart-warming romance. Prime Video will also explore for the first time new genres like supernatural and horror genres in the Indian content list. For the unscripted series, the streaming giant will bring forth and explore genres like biographies, true-crime and investigative docudramas.

Amazon Prime Video also claims that almost 70% of the new upcoming titles will feature new talent – both in front of and behind the camera.
