Prime Video took a great step during Suzhal where they dubbed the series in 5 Indian languages and many foreign ones too. It was a milestone for any Indian series which could slowly penetrate through the international market.
Crash Course is the new series by the platform which has a huge star cast primarily adorned by veteran actor Annu Kapoor.
The series would start streaming tomorrow and it would be available only in Hindi. Even the non-Hindi-speaking Indians won’t be able to watch the show without subtitles, let alone the International audience.
Let’s be brutally honest and accept that it is not everyone’s cup of tea to enjoy a show while reading subtitles. Although nothing replaces the original audio, it is still wanted by a considerable number of subscribers nonetheless.
We realize that dubbing a show takes time, effort, and most importantly capital. But this effort would not go in vain, it is certain to bring views and buzz from a more diverse audience.
The story of the show is set in Kota, Rajasthan but places, where the influence of the Kota industry isn’t strong might have brought interesting insights.
But whatever the case may be, Prime Video misses a big thing that served as a huge strength to their own series Suzhal: The Vortex.
