Prime Video Orders Animated Series ‘Kevin’ From Aubrey Plaza, Joe Wengert

Amazon Prime Video has ordered a new animated comedy series ‘Kevin’ that is about a life-long housecat who decides that he doesn’t want to live with people anymore. The series comes from Joe Wengert who is known for his credits like ‘Big Mouth’, ‘Kroll Show’ and ‘New Girl’ and Aubrey Plaza who has worked in projects like ‘Parks and Recreation’, ‘The White Lotus’ and most recently ’Megalopolis’. ‘Kevin’ will premiere soon globally only on Amazon Prime Video.

Loosely inspired by a real break-up and the cat caught in the middle, Kevin dares to ask himself, “Is there a world where I don’t do the owner thing and am just… single for the rest of my life?”

‘Kevin’ is executive produced and written by Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Aubrey Plaza (‘Parks and Recreation’, ‘The White Lotus’, ‘Emily the Criminal’) and Joe Wengert (‘Big Mouth’, ‘Human Resources’, ‘New Girl’), the latter also serving as showrunner. Dan Murphy will also executive produce.

Plaza also stars in Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Megalopolis’ which recently premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival and Megan Park’s Sundance breakout ‘My Old Ass’. She recently wrapped production on Legendary’s ‘Animal Friends’ opposite Ryan Reynolds, Dan Levy, and Jason Momoa, and Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke’s dark comedy, ‘Honey Don’t!’ opposite Margaret Qualley and Chris Evans.

Titmouse, Evil Hag Productions, and Amazon MGM Studios have produced ’Kevin’ that will launch soon exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
