The movie/series adaptation of Marvel is divided into two parts. The first and major one rests with Disney while the other one is owned by Sony Pictures. The one which Sony Pictures holds is only about Spider-Man and the closely related characters.
So you have Black Panther, Thor, Doctor Strange, etc movies developed by Disney while Spider-Man, Venom, Madame Web, etc by Sony.
So, Amazon Prime Video has partnered with the Sony hand of Marvel and together they would be developing a bunch of shows. Mind you that all of them are expected to be live-action animated series.
“Silk: Spider Society”, will be the first show on the slate. The show will revolve around Cindy Moon, who is “a Korean-American woman bitten by the same spider that bit Peter Parker, as she escapes imprisonment and searches for her missing family on her way to becoming the superhero known as Silk.”
It is a multi-year deal and thus will continue for many years. Also, Silk is not the only character getting a series of her own. Because Sony Pictures holds the rights to almost 900 characters that are associated with Spider-Man.
Thus, there are multiple details to be followed throughout the years. And Binged promises to bring all of them.
