Horror fans, get ready! The sequel to Chhorii is set to premiere on Prime Video on April 11. The first film, released in 2021, blended supernatural horror with Indian folklore and even received some attention from both critics and audiences. Now, Chhorii 2 is trying to level up the game with some new actors and elements.
Directed by Vishal Furia, the sequel continues the journey of Sakshi, played by Nushrratt Bharuccha. This time, the horror intensifies as she faces even greater threats—both paranormal and societal. Actress Soha Ali Khan joins the cast in a key role, alongside Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardika Sharma.
The first film was kind of good because it included some elements that can make anyone uncomfortable in a paranormal setting.
What do we mean by that?
Children. Nobody would want little children to be exposed to paranormal settings. Yes, Chhorii did and it became a little horrifying. You see, the film maxes out on this element in the second part.
There are tons of children and that makes it a lot more horrifying. Women and children are always the victims of ghosts and this film also uses the same cliche.
