Fallout fans! It is time to celebrate! Amazon Prime Video has revealed the release window of the highly anticipated TV adaptation.
It seems like the mammoth success of HBO’s The Last of Us has paved the way for other streaming platforms to develop video game adaptations. Maybe that’s why Prime Video has high hopes for its upcoming adaptation of Bethesda’s Fallout.
Christopher Nolan’s brother, Jonathan Nolan, and his wife, Lisa Joy, are co-developing the series. The duo is also serving as the show’s writers.
The ‘Fallout’ video game series is set during the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd centuries. Its artwork and atompunk retrofuturistic setting have taken inspiration from the post-war culture of the 1950s United States.
It makes sense why Prime Video is playing big with the upcoming ‘Fallout’ adaptation, as the video game series is considered one of the best and most iconic franchises in the gaming industry. It has earned acclaim from critics and players worldwide for its rich lore, iconic characters, open-world exploration, and dark humour.
Prime Video confirmed Fallout’s TV adaptation through its X (Twitter) post, revealing that the show’s Vault 33 will be based in Los Angeles. In addition, the series will hit the service in 2024. Stay tuned for more updates.
