Prime Video Reveals Trailer For Docuseries ‘First Act’

Prime Video India has just dropped the trailer for its upcoming Indian original docuseries ‘First Act’. The series premieres on Prime Video worldwide on 15th December, 2023.

‘First Act’ will delve deep into the world of child actors, their life, hopes and aspirations, why children and their parents want to enter the highly competitive world, how they cope with studies and acting, and a lot more.

The six-part series will also follow the lucky few child actors who made it big despite the cutthroat competition, and those who were left holding shattered dreams. The trailer shows numerous kids, a few as young as six, who’ve set their minds to becoming actors.

Through detailed one on one interviews with former child actors, ‘First Act’ will also give a glimpse into how the little ones coped with a life led in the glare of spotlights, and whether their future grown-up life proved to be as successful as their career as child actors. Darsheel Safary, Sarika, Jugal Hansraj, Parzan Dastur, among others, are a few former child actors we see in the trailer of First Act.

The series will also feature interviews with the all-important casting directors, who will elaborate on what makes them pick a particular child actor over the other. Mukesh Chhabra, Honey Trehan are two casting directors slated to make an appearance in the series.

Deepa Bhatia has written and directed ‘First Act’. She’s also the producer of the series. Filmmaker Amole Gupte is the creative producer of the series, while Amaal Malik has composed its music.
