Prime Video Streams ‘The Great Indian Family’ Without Promotion!

Vicky Kaushal’s ‘The Great Indian Family’ is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It was announced a few days back that the OTT rights of the movie were bagged by Prime Video but no release dates were announced. The platform has suddenly streamed the movie without any prior notice or promotion. They have posted only one social media post regarding the streaming today.

‘The Great Indian Family’ is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and stars actors like Vicky Kaushal, Manushi Chhillar, Manoj Pahwa and Kumud Mishra etc. The movie had its theatrical release on the 22nd of September this year and was a box office failure.

‘The Great Indian Family’ was produced by Yash Raj Films and the production house too did not spend enough money or time in promoting the movie. It released with almost zero marketing and failed to reach the audience it was meant for.

The movie tells the story of Ved Vyas Tripathi, played by Vicky Kaushal, who is a very religious and pious man. Tripathi goes through a severe identity crisis when he finds out that he is actually Muslim by birth.

If you are fan of light-hearted family comedies, you should not miss ‘The Great Indian Family’. The movie Explores the dysfunctional Indian family with its nuances and has some decent performances too. The Great Indian Family is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video from today onwards.
