Prime Video’s Gen V Season 2 To Begin Filming Soon

The filming for Prime Video’s Gen V Season 2 will commence sooner than expected. Amazon greenlighted the second season right after Season 1 culminated. Serving as a spin-off to Eric Kripke’s The Boys, Gen V performed exceptionally well and broke several streaming records. According to Nielsen, the first season ranked eighth on its Top 10 Streaming Originals list with over 374 million minutes viewed.

Discussing Film, one of the leading Hollywood news portals, has disclosed that the filming for Gen V Season 2 will reportedly commence within the next 2-3 weeks.

The second season was supposed to come out in late 2024, which would have aligned with Season 1’s release window, September 2022. However, the Hollywood strikes ended up delaying the production of the sophomore season. Given all the details we have, it seems like Season 2 may come out in early 2025.

Despite a bloody finale and some jaw-dropping deaths, the majority of Season 1’s cast will return to the second season. The first season’s finale showed Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Jordan (Derek Luh/London Thor), Emma (Lizze Broadway), and Andre (Chance Perdomo) locked inside some sort of a hospital. On the other hand, Sam (Asa Germann) and Cate (Maddie Phillips) went free, enabling them to wreak more havoc in the outside world. All these guys are expected to return in Season 2. Antony Starr may make another cameo appearance as the sick and twisted Homelander in the second season.

Gen V Season 2 will reportedly take place after the events of The Boys Season 4, which is expected to premiere in June 2024. Stay tuned for more updates.
