Prime Video’s Mirzapur Fever Eats Up a Warm Original Film!

Mirzapur Season 3 is coming soon on Prime Video and it needs a lot of attention. Also, it is bound to make it big in terms of views as the legacy of the first 2 seasons is such.

Now, there are two kinds of good content. The first one is just good, for instance, Darlings. It is a good film but it needs the support of marketing and buzz.

The other category is that of “too good”. Films like “Laapata Ladies” and “Three of Us” fall into this category. They do not need a wide-scale campaign because their content is so good that it advertises itself. Netflix India actually started promoting Laapata Ladies after it became a moderate hit and the extra effort just sky-rocketed the performance of the film.

Regardless, the first category needs care that their respective OTT platforms must provide. Sharma Jee Ki Beti is like that. It is good for a one-time watch. The characters are well written but 5 characters fight for screen time and none of them proves to show a proper arc.

Prime Video almost did not promote the film. It got minimal limelight and thus the views are bound to be affected. Perhaps that’s the reason it is streaming and not many people bother to even talk about it.

Sharma Jee Ki Beti suffered from Mirzapur Season 3 fever at Prime Video. Perhaps the platform should have strategised a better time for release.
