‘Avatar’ actress Sigourney Weaver, who shot to overnight fame after starring in the lead role in Ridley Scott’s cult sci-fi movie ‘Alien’, will next be seen in the Amazon Prime Video series ‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’ (trailer attached below). The seven-part miniseries from the makers of ‘Big Little Lies’ and ‘Nine Perfect Strangers’ is set to premiere on the OTT platform on 4th August 2023.
Based on Australian author Holly Ringland’s international bestselling novel, ‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’ narrates the story of the titular character Alice Heart (played by Alycia Debnam-Carey), who loses her parents in a mysterious fire incident when she was just nine years old. After that, she moves in with her grandmother June Heart (Sigourney Weaver) to a flower farm. Eventually, Alice begins to learn about the secrets of her life and about her family’s mysterious past. The show has been directed by Australian filmmaker Glendyn Ivin.
The trailer of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart’ has an eerie and mysterious feel to it. The whole premise seems to be based on a secret about what really happened many years back with the protagonist Alice and whether Sigourney Weaver’s character can fix it or not.
Sigourney Weaver has recently starred in James Cameron’s massively mounted ‘Avatar’ sequel ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ and she will also reprise her role in the next two installments as well. Meanwhile, stay tuned to Binged for the latest OTT and film industry related updates and recommendations.
