The first look images from the film feature the leading trio of Allison Janney, Kristen Bell, and Ben Platt. Apart from these talents, the cast consists of Karan Soni, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Dustin Milligan, Tony Goldwyn, Jorma Taccone, Isaach de Bankole, and Julian Ovenden.

The plot revolves around the sibling duo of Alice (Bell) and Paul (Platt) who unwillingly agree to attend the wedding of their estranged and wealthy half-sister. Their mother, Donna (Janney), also finds herself in this mess.

Janney is also part of Gareth Edwards’ upcoming sci-fi project, True Love, starring John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ralph Ineson, and Ken Watanabe. Edwards has also served as the film’s writer and co-producer.

Claire Scanlon serves as the helmer of Prime Video’s forthcoming comedy. She has bagged four Emmy nominations for her editing work in The Office and The Apprentice. Additionally, she has directed episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Good Place, Glow, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She made her film direction debut with Netflix’s Set It Up.

The People We Hate At The Wedding will release on Prime Video on November 18. Stay tuned for more updates.
