Prithviraj’s Extreme Dedication To Aadujeevitham

Prithviraj Sukumaran’s eagerly awaited film “Aadujeevitham,” directed by Blessy, was released on March 28th and is having a phenomenal run on the big screens. For Sukumaran, the lead actor, this project transcends mere acting; it’s a deeply personal endeavor. To authentically portray the character of Najeeb, he underwent an arduous weight-loss journey, shedding approximately 31 kilograms. His transformation was not merely a physical one but a testament to his commitment to the role, involving prolonged fasting periods of up to 72 hours.

Reflecting on the mental and physical challenges he encountered during this rigorous process, Sukumaran highlighted the struggle to resist the urge to eat, particularly beyond the second day of fasting. Despite the hardships, he remained dedicated to his goal, determined to embody the character’s journey authentically.

In an interview, Sukumaran provided insight into the film’s narrative, emphasizing the extraordinary tale of survival depicted in “Aadujeevitham.” The story follows Najeeb’s harrowing experience spending 3.5 years in the desert, where he gradually disconnects from human civilization, adopting the ways of animals, particularly goats. This unique premise captivated Sukumaran, inspiring him to take on the role and bring Najeeb’s remarkable journey to life on the silver screen.
