The Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo, have an interesting project lined up for development. It is an international spy thriller TV series called Citadel. And slated to star in the series is the very pretty Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Richard Madden, the actor who played Robb Stark in three seasons of Game of Thrones, will be Priyanka‘s co-star in the series.
The Russo Brothers are quite popular in India, courtesy their adored productions for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They’ve written and directed the Captain America franchise and the Avengers franchise.
The Russo Brothers were in talks with Priyanka for the project since April 2019. This development comes as a result of those talks.
Citadel is to be an Amazon Prime Video production. It is a multiseries in the spy thriller genre. What makes it an interesting proposition is the fact that it is to be made as a multiseries on an international level, with multiple local-language productions of the franchise in Mexico, Italy and India.
Another interesting aspect of Citadel that is sure to impress Indian viewers is that the Indian edition of the series will be developed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., the guys behind wacky hits such as Go Goa Gone, Street and The Family Man. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas will be part of the U.S. “mothership” edition of the global series.
The news was posted by Variety on its Instagram page, and was shared by Priyanka Chopra Jonas on her own Instagram account.
Citadel is being written by Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg, who will also serve as its executive producers, along with Patrick Moran, Mike Larocca, Joe and Anthony Russo.
