Ranbir Kapoor has some much awaited projects lined up and one amongst them is the intense thriller drama ‘Animal’. The anticipation now notches up with ’Pushpa’ fame Rashmika Mandanna joining the cast.
Helmed by ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ fame director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Animal’ is a dark thriller with violent undertones and is a story about a strained and troubled father-son relationship.
Rashmika Mandanna is the latest to join the star studded cast of ‘Animal’ that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol. The gangster drama film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar for T-Series, Pranay Reddy Vanga for Bhadrakali Pictures and Murad Khetani for Cine1 Studios.
While the teaser of ‘Animal’ came back long back at the beginning of 2021, the wait for the film has been quite long with minimal updates. While the film was earlier scheduled for Dussehra 2022 release it has now finalised for the Independence Day weekend next year and will release on 11th August, 2023.
Rashmika Mandanna was last seen in blockbuster hit ‘Pushpa’ alongside Allu Arjun. Apart from the ‘Pushpa’ sequel, Rashmika’s upcoming works include her Bollywood debut film ‘Mission Majnu’, a spy thriller co-starring Siddharth Malhotra and Vikas Bahl’s ‘Goodbye’ in which she will star alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
