You would imagine that National Cinema Day happens sometime in September then how can one watch films in multiplexes for only 99 Rs. But, there is a similar offer coming very very soon. On February 23, 2024, PVR and INOX cinemas are hosting a special day called ‘Cinema Lovers Day’ where people can watch movies for only Rs 99 in most cities across India. This means you can enjoy popular Bollywood films like”Article 370,” “Crackk,” “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” and “Fighter.”
Along with the Rs 99 tickets for regular seats, you can also get recliner seats for Rs 199. If you want to experience movies in IMAX, 4DX, MX4D, or the gold category, there are discounts available too.
However, it’s disappointing that people in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala are left out of this offer. These states have many movie lovers and their exclusion doesn’t seem fair. Why on Earth is this discrimination happening is beyond comprehension. If, PVR Inox wants to have a separate day for discounted prices in these states then why is Karnataka included on the plan for the 23rd?
It’s important for cinema chains to include everyone in such celebrations, regardless of where they live. It is as if they will remain unbenefited for something entirely absurd. Hopefully, in the future, events like ‘Cinema Lovers Day’ will be enjoyed by people all across India.
