Quibi’s the Stranger Promises a Creepy Show From the Killing Writer

Quibi, the soon to be launched short-form mobile-only entertainment platform has launched the teaser of The Stranger. It is about the nightmarish situation of a taxi driving girl when she picks a stranger.

Maika Monroe plays the cab driver who picks a stranger played by Dane DeHaan. The teaser not only sets up the premise but gives an accurate depiction of the creepiness and chilling feeling. If the entire series could evoke a similar response by holding the audience attention over several parts, it could be an easy winner.

Besides the cast, which is fantastic, The Stranger is directed by Veena Sud. To those who are unaware, she is behind the widely acclaimed series, The Killing (US Version).

The Stranger is another star-studded show from Quibi, which is going to be launched on April 6th. The short duration of each episode and mobile-only format has attracted many famous personalities. However, one is still not sure how it will work out.

The Quibi team, on its part, is doing a fabulous promotional campaign to get the maximum buzz possible before its launch. It has attracted the entertainment industry’s attention, for sure, though.
