Blow The Man Down, the movie that was a favourite on the festival circuit last year, had been quickly snapped up by Amazon Studios to add to its slate of Amazon Originals for its audiences worldwide.
And now the time has come for Amazon Prime Video to premiere the keenly-awaited movie on its platform. The premiere date has been booked for 20th March 2020, when ‘Blow The Man Down’ will stream on Prime Video globally.
The passion project of first-time directors Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy, it is a quirky black comedy about a pair of sisters Mary Beth (Morgan Saylor) and Priscilla Connolly (Sophie Lowe), who accidentally kill a man who tries to prey on them. In the melee of cover-ups that follows, the sisters discover that everyone in the small seaside town has a secret to hide, including the town’s matriarchs. The sisters have just lost their mother when they’re caught up in the vortex of events in the midst of grieving for her.
The movie also stars Margo Martindale, June Squibb, Will Brittain, Gayle Rankin and Annette O’Toole.
