Radhe Shyam Trailer: Doesn’t Meet Expectations

The theatrical trailer of Radhe Shyam was unveiled at the grand pre-release event of the film a short while ago and it needs to be said that the trailer doesn’t quite live up to the expectations. While all the focus is on Vikramaditya (Prabhas)’s palmist track, there appears to be very little scope for commercial elements, which play the decisive role in the box office fate of any pan-India film.

The visuals look aesthetic and the background score is on point, but the desired intrigue factor goes missing in the trailer. It is hard to expect the Telugu masses to connect with the palmist track and that could well come back to haunt the film in the twin Telugu states. That said, the trailer implies that the film has enough novelty to pull the A center audience to the theatres. It would be really interesting to see if the film can connect with the Hindi audiences, which the makers have been emphasizing on since the commencement of the film.

Going by the trailer, Radhe Shyam revolves around love drama, heartbreak, emotions, and destiny. The narrative primarily focuses on the romantic track between Prabhas and Pooja Hegde. The technical finesse stands out. But a lot depends on Prabhas’s crowd pulling capabilities now.

Radhe Shyam is an intense love drama directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and produced by UV Creations. The film has Prabhas, Pooja Hegde, Krishnam Raju, Murali Sharma, and others in important roles. The film is arriving in theatres on the 14th of January 2022.
