The official trailer for ‘Raghu Thatha’ has been released. The Tamil social Comedy Stars Keerthy Suresh In the leading role and is directed by Suman Kumar. The movie will be releasing in theaters on the 15th of August this year.
Keerthy Suresh plays the role of Kayalvizhi, a woman who continues to shock people with his opinions against prevailing social norms. She fights for justice and is all against patriarchy. She does want to be another cog in the machine and do something worthwhile. This attitude makes her fight with bank managers, teachers and even fellow passengers. But it seems that all the while she herself has been keeping a secret for herself. But she says that committing a minor sin to prevent a major crime is allowed. Kayalvizhi challenges the Hindi imposition on Tamilians but there is a good deal of comedy in the social messages as well.
The official synopsis of the movie is, “This is the hilarious story of a rebellious young woman, Kayalvizhi, who is forced to choose between principle and patriarchy.” ‘Raghu Thatha’ stars other actors like Anandsami, Rajesh Balachandran, Aadhira Pandilakshmi and Manoj Kumar Kalaivanan. The movie is produced under the banner of Hombale Films, the production house known for classics like ‘K.G.F’ and ‘Kantara’.
The visuals are credited to cinematographer Yamini Yagnamurthy and the music is given by Sean Roldan.
