Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK – The quirky director duo is back with yet another new project. No, it’s not a new film, but an initiative to help aspiring independent filmmakers to find the correct path to make their own films.
Raj & DK took to their social media to share a short 36 seconds video clip where they mentioned that they are starting d2r Indie, which will focus on helping the new filmmakers on a grass root level. D2R is their own production banner.
The d2r Indie concept has been humming around for quite a while now with Raj & DK, who has started working on this initiative from home while the country was under complete lock-down last year in 2020. They have even mentored the first project of Shreya Dhanwanthary’s directorial debut micro-series titled A Viral Wedding: Made In Lockdown.
Shreya Dhanwanthary who was last seen in critically acclaimed web series Scam 1992, has also commented on the post, shared by Raj & DK, stating,”D2R Indie is the reason for all the good things that have happened to me!!!”
Raj and DK, who have been associated with off-bit films and series such as Shor in the City, Stree, Go Goa Gone and The Family Man, has a tendency to always break the pattern and do something different and with D2R Indie, we hope they can be the path finder of the budding filmmakers in shaping the future of Indian film industry.
