Raj & DK Waste Simran in Citadel: Honey Bunny!

The much-anticipated Raj and DK’s new web series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ is receiving great audience response from both sides of the coin. An emulation of a character in the best way possible for an actor can do. But what if an actor who has immense potential unexpectedly loses such scope?

Actor Simran is a predominant face in the south film industry for her incredible performances in classics like ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’, ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’, and the latest ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ who has given her time for this web series. How is her feat in this effort?

Despite being a potential actor, the actor didn’t have much scope to give the best for the web series due to various reasons like the underdevelopment of the character called ‘Zooni’ as well as weak writing for the role to where she was only able to underplay her part.

In the movie, the character ‘Zooni’ appears to be a stoic, smartly-attired personality who works in the lead for Citadel, which is a spy agency that has Bunny, who is serving as an agent. The attire does suit well for the actor but the scope of the performance is dull and irrelevant.

‘Citadel: Hunny Bunny’ is an action crime-spy-techno thriller which is written and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D K, along with developed by Sita R Menon who also co-wrote the effort. Actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu play the titular characters in the film joined by actors Kay Kay Menon, Kashvi Majmundar, Sikandar Kher, Saqib Saleem, and Thalaivasal Vijay in important roles.

In a nutshell, the lack of a strong reason in the transitions of the roles and careless character sketch are the various factors for limiting the actor’s potential despite having charisma and style.

The web series is streaming now in the Amazon Prime Video platform with one season having six episodes and stay tuned in Binged for more updates regarding ‘Citadel: Hunny Bunny’.
