Rajesh Nair’s ‘Eighteen Hours’ Gets Simultaneous OTT And TV Premiere!

Malayalam film director and producer, Rajesh Nair is releasing his upcoming film ‘Eighteen hours’, next week. The movie is set to premiere on the TV channel Mazhavil Manorama and its OTT streaming platform, ManoramaMax, by the beginning of next month. Rajesh Nair has called his upcoming directed action thriller an experimental and risky venture which is close to his heart. Check out the trailer for ‘Eighteen Hours’ at the end of this article.

The film will follow six 12th grade girls who are travelling from Kerala to Bengaluru, Karnataka for an inter-school competition. After missing their flight, the students, along with a teacher and an alumnus, charter a private bus to go to the competition. En-route, a group of highly trained armed criminals hijacks the bus on route and takes the students as hostages to escape from the police who are currently pursuing them. The students have to find a way to escape and reach the cops before something worse happens to them.

Rajesh Nair, the film producer is known for his movies – ‘Escape from Uganda’, ‘Salt Mango Tree’, ‘Annum Innum Ennum’ and ‘Thrissur Pooram’. The director doesn’t have any regrets with the digital release of the movie, giving preference for his content to be available for the audience as soon as possible over a theatrical release. He also completed the post-production with a “virtual movie premiere” in mind.
