The biggest Diwali 2021 release down south this year is definitely superstar Rajinikanth‘s action entertainer, ‘Annaatthe‘. So it is apt that producers Sun Pictures chose one of the most auspicious occasions of the year, Ganesh Chaturthi, to release the first look of lead star Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated ‘Annaatthe’. And if fans found the first look, revealed this morning, as staid and sober, the just-released Annaatthe motion poster more than makes up for it in both style and substance.
The Annaatthe motion poster features Rajinikanth in the avatar that has made him the superstar he is – that of an action hero. The motion poster starts off with computer-generated graphics, with a blazing sword (in CGI) featuring prominently in the imagery. It then zooms in on a stylish Rajinikanth, sitting astride a motorcycle, oozing power and panache.
The powerful visual is accompanied with the energetic beats of rousing background music, which adds to the action entertainer feel of the poster. The poster ends with Rajini striding forward with purposeful intent, with the promise of storming theatres this Diwali. The effect is classy and massy at the same time.
Annaatthe is written and directed by Siva. It stars Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Khushboo, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu alongside Rajinikanth. The music of the film is composed by D.Imman, while S P Balasubrahmanyam has lent his vocals for a couple of songs, the maestro’s last project before he passed away last year.
Annaatthe release date is set for 4th November, just in time to enhance the Diwali festivities.
