Rajkumar Santoshi’s romantic comedy ‘Bad Boy’ is now streaming on OTT. It had its digital premiere on Zee5 today.
‘Bad Boy’ tells the story of a good-for-nothing fellow who falls in love with a Bengali girl who is a bright student. The girl’s father does not like the boy at all. The boy leaves no stones unturned to prove himself worthy of the marriage. There are newcomers starring in both lead roles. Namashi Chakraborthy and Amrin Qureshi play the roles of Raghu and Ritu. There are some other good actors in the movie too. Darshan Jariwala, Johny Lever, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma, Rajpal Yadav are in important roles. Even Mithun Chakraborty has a cameo appearance in the movie.
The screenplay of the movie is written by writers Sanjeev and Ranjit Kapoor. It is a light-hearted comedy with the age-old romantic tropes all put into one movie. Still, it is from the director Rajkunar Santoshi, who has given films like ‘Khakee’, ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani’, ‘Pukaar’, ‘Ghatak’, ‘Damini’ and many others. If you are a fan of Rajkumar Santoshi, you might not want to miss this film too.
The cinematography of the movie is handled by Tanveer Mir. And the music is composed by Himesh Reshamiya and Raju Singh. Bad Boy had its theatrical release on the 28th of April this year and was a box office failure.
