Ram Kapoor In & As ‘Mistry’ In Jio Hotstar’s ‘Monk’ Remake

Well known television star Ram Kapoor who has recently been on a transformative physical journey will now star in Jio Hotstar’s ‘Mistry’, the Indian adaptation of police procedural crime drama detective mystery television series ‘Monk’.

Kapoor plays the titular role of Armaan Mistry in ‘Mistry’. He is a special consultant with Mumbai Police who has the obsessive-compulsive disorder but that doesn’t prevent him from helping the police with some very unconventional cases.

The teaser video launched today by Jio Hotstar for ‘Mistry’ has an enigmatic aura just like the personality of its lead character. The background score makes sure people remain intrigued and hooked.

In addition to Kapoor, ‘Mistry’ also stars Mona Singh as ACP Sehmat Siddiqui alongside Shikha Talsania and Kshitish Date.

Set to premiere on Jio Hotstar on June 27, 2025, ‘Mistry’ is directed by Rishab Seth and is produced by Banijay Asia in association with Universal International Studios.

‘Mistry’ is the first South Asian adaptation of ‘Monk’ which ran for eight seasons from 2002-2009 followed by a movie in 2023. ‘Mistry’ comes as part of a deal between Banijay Asia and NBCUniversal Formats to remake shows for the Indian market.
