Ram Pothineni will team up with Gabbar Singh fame Harish Shankar for a mass entertainer. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Ustaad himself revealed that he is still in talks with the helmer about the project though nothing has been confirmed yet. His last blockbuster was Puri Jagannadh’s iSmart Shankar, released in 2019. However, his last project, Red, performed poorly at the box office, earning only 29 crores against a 32-crore budget. He must be looking to add another hit to get back on track.
Pothineni recently had an interview with Pinkvilla where he discussed Shankar’s project: “Too early to discuss as I’m meeting a few other directors also. Nothing concrete as such…had casual meetings with Harish Shankar but eventually, we will do it because we both had been wanting to work for a very long time. Once he has clarity on Pawan Kalyan sir’s movie, only then does it make sense for him to discuss further.”
The actor is currently busy promoting his forthcoming project, The Warriorr. Written and directed by N. Lingusamy, the film also has Aadhi Pinisetty, Krithi Shetty, Akshara Gowda, Nadhiya, Chirag Jani, and many more. Fans will see him as a police officer who crosses paths with a notorious gangster, Guru, played by Pinisetty.
Additionally, rumours are soaring high about Ustaad’s interest in collaborating with Gautham Vasudev Menon. He also addressed this matter in that interview, “This film is also in talks but that definitely should be soon.”
All the above-mentioned projects are yet to be confirmed by Ram Pothineni. First, he wants to complete all his ongoing projects. The Warrior will hit the theatres on July 14. Stay tuned for more updates.
