“Ram Setu” Begins With Akshay Kumar In A Never Before Seen Avatar!

By Binged Bureau - Mar 15, 2021 @ 01:03 pm

Akshay Kumar is all set to start his journey for his brand new movie “Ram Setu”. Finally, after announcing the movie last year, the shoot for the movie will begin soon. Akshay Kumar will start this new movie from Ayodhya, as he along with director Abhishek Sharma and creative producer Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi will set for Ayoddhya on the 18th of March for the mahurat shoot for the film. Choosing Ayoddhya to begin the movie was a very crucial decision for the team, as this movie itself is based on one of the most popular Indian legends and also Ayodhya is known to everyone for being Ram’s birthplace.

Ram Setu” which will bring forward Akshay Kumar in a brand new avatar, will showcase him as an archaeologist. Akshay Kumar earlier has not played any such character. Abhishek Sharma while he revealed the movie also revealed Akshay Kumar’s role and look for the movie. The makers have mentioned that his character and look has been inspired by archaeologists from all around the world and also some great Indian archaeologists too.

As for the movie, as the name suggests it is based on one of the most debated and famous legends that comes from India, which is the “Ram Setu”. Many have claimed it based on their religious beliefs, while others have shown it through science that it exists. The journey of it being formed into a movie started back in 2007, when Sharma was reading up articles on the shipping canal that was being made in the narrow strait connecting India and Sri Lanka. Ever since that the thought of forming a movie or making it into something that the audience can view never left his side.

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who is assisting the movie as the creative producer apparently, has helped in providing all the resources to the team to create the movie. Even though it is a fictional story the makers have made sure to include facts that are crucial from the point of view of archaeology, science and also people’s beliefs. They have taken help and from scientists and archaeologists to get a more clear picture in bringing such things to the forefront.

Though the story is kept under wraps for now, many Bollywood insiders have mentioned that the story will include a sort of political drama into it, mixed with the brand new parts of archaeology and science in it. Akshay Kumar who was immediately onboard after listening to the story is definitely one actor that is fit for such a role.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha will also be playing major and significant roles. As per the makers their roles won’t be something that will be used only to compliment the actor’s role. They will have a fully etched out role, strong independent women in the movie.

Given the hype and the buzz around the building of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after years of cases in courts and the Indian audience celebrating, this seems like a perfectly right time to bring in the movie. As it is already with Lord Ram’s legends, this will definitely stay ahead in the buzz and also garner major attention from everyone.
