Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu is now streaming on Prime Video. Yet again, the platform has released the movie on the Prime Video store. It means that even after having a subscription, you’ll have to pay ₹199 for watching the movie.
Ram Setu starring Akshay Kumar also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead role. The movie was not a success at the box office even after a new concept and promising cast the movie failed miserably at the Box Office.
If you are unaware then this is the first movie that Amazon Studios produced in India for theatrical release. So it was obvious that it will stream on Prime Video itself.
Regardless, if you notice then Ram Setu was released on rent instead of regular streaming. Prime Video was brutally criticized for Ponniyin Selvan, KGF Chapter 2, and many more were released on store. When Kantara skipped that to be released regularly then it was a relief.
The excuse they used was “early access” and rights.
But how are they having the same audacity as Ram Setu? They are the major production house behind the movie and they are still saying the same things about Ram Setu.
Their drama of rights seems hollow after this step as Prime Video subscription is slowly losing their value in the mind of viewers.
