Ranbir Kapoor’s ’Animal’ Postponed, Director Cites Quality Issues!

Ranbir Kapoor’s much awaited action thriller drama ‘Animal’ has been postponed and will now release on 1st December, 2023 instead of the earlier announced 11th August, 2023.

In the official statement released by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, he says that the only reason for the delay in Animal’s release is to provide best quality to the viewers. He cites an example of how the post production work is taking longer than he anticipated due to multilingual release of the film and how he wishes to present the film not as a cheap dubbed version but truly regional in essence in every language.

This shift in release also means that ‘Animal’ will be avoiding clashes with Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’, sequel to the superhit 2001 film ‘Gadar’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’, a spiritual sequel to another blockbuster film ‘OMG’. In fact ‘Animal’ will now have a face-off with Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Sam Bahadur’ and ‘Fukrey 3’, the third instalment in the slacker comedy franchise. Comparing the old and the new clashes, ‘Animal’ stands a much better chance with the new release date.

Helmed by ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh’ fame director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, ‘Animal’ is a dark thriller with violent undertones and is a story about a strained and troubled father-son relationship.

The star studded cast of ‘Animal’ that includes Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri. The gangster drama film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar for T-Series, Pranay Reddy Vanga for Bhadrakali Pictures and Murad Khetani for Cine1 Studios. ‘Animal’ will release in theatres on 1st December, 2023 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
