On the occasion of Veer Sawarkar’s 139th birth anniversary today the makers of his biopic ‘Swatantra Veer Savarkar’ have unveiled the first look of Randeep Hooda who plays the titular role in the film.
The motion poster and poster launched feature Randeep Hooda in and as ‘Swatantra Veer Sawarkar’ where he is seen wearing the iconic cap and round spectacles. Doning a thick mustache, the minimalist yet strong expression make quite an impact.
Launching the poster of ‘Swatantra Veer Sawarkar’ on social media Randeep Hooda wrote,
“A salute to one of the tallest unsung heroes of India’s struggle for freedom & self-actualisation. hope I can live up to the challenge of filling such big shoes of a true revolutionary & tell his real story which had been brushed under the carpet for so long
#VeerSavarkarJayanti”
Directed by Mahesh Manjrekar (‘Vaastav’, ‘Astitva’), ‘Swatantra Veer Sawarkar’ is produced by Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh and Sam Khan. The production companies behind the film are Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Legend Studios. Roopa Pandit and Zafar Mehdi serve as co-producers for the film.
‘Swatantra Veer Sawarkar’ is set to start filming in August 2022 and will be shot across London, Maharashtra and Andaman and Nicobar Island. Other than Swatantra Veer Sawarkar’, Sandip and Mahesh are also working on another film ‘Godse’ together.
