Randeep Hooda’s ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ Is all set for its OTT debut on Zee5 on 28th May, 2024, on the occasion of Veer Savarkar’s 141st birthday. Helmed by Hooda himself, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ is a biographical drama that sparked quite a debate upon its theatrical release earlier.
‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ is based on the life of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar and presents a detailed story of Savrakar from his childhood to all the important events of his life.
Directed, co-written and produced by Randeep Hooda, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ stars Hooda, Ankita Lokhande, Amit Sial, Tirrtha Murbaadkar, Chetan Swaroop, Rajesh Khera, Lokesh Mittal, Brajesh Jha and more.
‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ was criticised for portraying Savarkar in a near-worshipful tone, distorting history and promoting one-sided agenda.
